Cocktails, Palm Trees, and Bluegrass In The Mountains I spent the entire second half of the day and night walking around Sylva and popping into places. After my first visit to Breadheads, I didn’t know I would end up back later to find a live bluegrass band playing. I also didn’t know I would find a local character in a red hat and a blue blanket dancing to the music that would tell me Burt Reynolds was in The Thing, and that’s why it was his favorite movie. Hmmm…. Anyway, a really cool vibe and all the patrons here were super chill. You get a fascinating, eclectic mix of different mountain crowds, but nobody cares. It’s just a great place to unwind and leave the outside world behind for a while. Good bartenders too. And the bathrooms are clean.
